Convict 100 Sat May 5 2012 St Albans NSW
Once again the Old Great North Road plays with mind and muscle with murderous mayhem and many "moments of truth"! This course is just pure punishment for those of us who may prefer the rush of wind against the body and the pleasant hum of smooth rubber on bitumen! Nevertheless, on we plunge.. over rocks, gravel, sand, mud puddles, kayak bridges and mongrel climbs that cruelly squeeze the last painful push out of already spent muscles! I will be back next year to go under 6 hours! Garmin connect link : http://connect.garmin.com/activity/174819492

Four Gorges training run
last hit-out before Les Dix Alps. With Harry. Had a prang at Hornsby on the run back to N Turramurra. A car travelling along Pac Hwy near the fire station intersection decided to make a quick left turn into a driveway (Bristol Paints) and cleaned me up. I had no warning as he only indicated moments before turning. I hit his left wing mirror and grazed and bruised the back of my right hand. Nothing broken fortunately and the bike was OK. He was more shaken up than me! He apologised after I gave him a lecture about checking his rear view mirrors AND wing mirrors before such a turn. Otherwise an enjoyable ride and nippy in the valleys. Central Coast Century Challenge 2012
A great day in the backlots of the Central Coast, although two punctures served to slow down proceedings somewhat. Good to see Steve, Harry, Gaspo and the Hornsby Cycles Group out on the course. Garmin connect link here; http://connect.garmin.com/activity/179985822
