SICBUG Warriewood

Today's outing was possibly the coldest of the year so far. About 15x shivering SICOs gathered at St Ives for the off. Despite the low temperatures no fog through Akuna Bay and a steady pace ensued with many other cyclists enjoying the dry weather after last weeks big wet. After a brief stop at West Head Rd the group split up. Caroline and Jane decided that two Akunas are better than one and pedalled off to return to St Ives that way. The rest of us took the low road to Church Point and cold, windy Warriewood. Fortunately the beach and cafe were still there after last weekends huge storms which washed away half of Sydney's northern beaches. After coffee and checking out the surf we teamed up with Hamish and Mustafa who had arrived earlier at the cafe. A brisk return home saw our new recruit "Big Ring" Robyn, along with Sam, Gra and Hamish set a cracking pace along McCarrs Ck Rd up to Terrey Hills. Coffee at Eden Café topped off a great morning ride. Check out my ride on Strava:
