100 Cols Day 4 Sainte-Marie-sur-Ouche to St. Point

A very busy day exploring the wine region of Bourgogne (Burgundy). Some of the route took us across bike paths in the vineyards. So it was possible to see the farmers tending the vines and we had a great view of the many thousands of acres of vines in the area. The towns we passed through were mainly small and deserted however the major centres of Beaune and Cluny were very busy and coffee shops were open. The last col passed between two valleys and the views were spectacular. Lovely villages with church steeples visible from a distance.
Campsite at St. Point has great facilities including very slow Wi-Fi, but at least it was there for people to check emails. Fantastic meal of Boeuf Bourguignon of course. Rain in the evening which made it difficult to dry our washing. The camping experience here at St. Point was made a little unpleasant by a loud group of French campers who kept some of us awake until 2am.
Tomorrow and easier day but hopefully the rain will stop. Garmin connect details here including maps
